SANTA MONICA BEACH
Santa Monica is a popular destination for beginners and intermediates to surf. From Will Rogers beach, all the way down south to the Santa Monica Pier, the waves at this popular Los Angeles beach break have waves that are great for surfing lessons all throughout the year.
Some of the most popular spots to surf in Los Angeles are in Santa Monica, including Bay Street, Ocean Park, and select spots just off the pier. Spectators will find longboarders and shortboarders alike, surfing the coastline from sunrise to sunset.
Many of our instructors are from Santa Monica originally, or have spent a long time in West Los Angeles, and have become so familiar with our beaches that any surf student can rest assured they will be surfing ideal conditions with us, every single day
Venice is weird, quirky, and eclectic…it’s just the way we like it. Forget all your expectations and come down for the show whether you want to people watch, cruise the boardwalk, or surf waves Venice has you covered because the entertainment does not stop at this beach. A similar wave to Santa Monica, but a completely different vibe…Venice is a true gem like no other in California.
Manhattan Beach is one of LA’s most beautiful beaches and areas in general, with some of the most legendary waves for both beginners and South Bay’s local surfers. A great spot to take surfing lessons 365 days out of the year.
Some of the favorite spots to surf include Playa Vista and Dockweiler Beach by El Segundo.
There is also El Porto, the Manhattan Pier, and many spots down Highland Avenue. The conditions in Manhattan Beach happen to be many of our instructors’ favorites in SoCal, and if you book a lesson with us, you can find out why.
Hermosa Beach is a local hub in the South Bay, where you will find both homey community and a vacationer’s dream. And of course, Hermosa is known for incredible surf. The main surf spot to most surfers is the Hermosa Pier, where the conditions are most perfect every day in the
summer and in the winter.
Hermosa is unlike other spots in Los Angeles because of the small and quaint, but populated town feel. Pier Avenue has a lot to offer, especially waves, for anybody thinking about taking surf lessons.
